New Japanese Aesthetics Minor Coming Soon
Japan House is excited to introduce a new Japanese Aesthetics minor that will be available to students starting Fall 2022. The suite of courses currently offered at Japan House including courses on Chado: The Way of Tea, Japanese flower arrangement, anime, and manga will be among the requirements for the Japanese Aesthetics minor. The minor will allow students to experience Japanese arts first-hand and explore how Japanese aesthetics can be applied to practices across various disciplines. Through study and immersion in Japanese aesthetics and culture, it is hoped that students will develop their aesthetic sensibilities and learn how to apply Japanese aesthetic philosophies to their own work, interactions, and understanding of the world.
